Going through a major life change

Stoic philosophy prescribes an almost numbness to change of all shapes and sizes. Choosing instead to focus on what is within our control. Our thoughts, choices, and actions. Marcus Aurelius said in Meditations “The world is nothing but change. Our life is only perception.” Have you ever considered that how you perceive changes in your life has more to do with the story you are putting to them then the actual change itself?

Going through any kind of change is uncomfortable. Going through a major life change can take your uncomfort to a whole new level. Any major life change has the potential of being a major problem for you, and so, they deserve a little bit more attention and a lot more focus on how it is affecting you.

Having a coach through these major changes will be a game changer for you. Someone who you can confide in, generate clarity with, and help you use the change to discard old habits, pick up on the things that generate joy for you, and help you move forward through them. As Sheryl Crow says, “A change can do you good.” if you are prepared to let it and you have the support structure required to maximize the positive effects while minimizing the negative ones.

If you are going through a major change or event in your life, it’s too easy to take the focus off you and put it on the thing that’s changing. I want to help you get through it and come out the other end with a new vigor for moving forward in life.  Let’s connect and find out the next step together!
