Faith Reframed

When I use the word “faith” what comes to mind? Church? Religion?

Webster’s dictionary defines faith as “something that is believed, especially with strong conviction”

The “F” in The Moving Forward Reframe-Work stands for faith and is designed to get you to fully understand those “somethings” in your life that you believe in with strong conviction.

Don’t limit this part of the journey to the spiritual side. Explore those things you hold on to with true conviction whether they are positive or negative.

Yes, that’s right. Sometimes we find that we have limiting beliefs. A faith in our inability to do something. Lean into those areas and push yourself to face them.

Moving forward regardless of what life throws at you requires a connection to the belief system that governs our hearts and minds. What we believe with strong conviction tends to govern our thoughts, choices, and actions.

How well do you know the belief system at work in you?

Here’s a pro tip, after you’ve written it down, ask someone you trust for their thoughts. Don’t show them the list, just ask an open ended question “What do you think I believe in?”

Take notes and compare. Remember to be curious, be compassionate with yourself, and go deep!
