Nike’s slogan Just Do it. That’s nice and all and it fits well on screens and t-shirts, but it simply does not mirror what happens in life or what is required for you to always be moving forward. It’s missing a key message: Just Do It…  Again. 

What makes your life so interesting and fun are the times when life gets you down and you just get up and do it again. Where “it” is going after whatever you require to live your fullest life.

When you think beyond the fall, beyond the effort it takes to get yourself up, dust yourself off, and do it again, you set yourself up to go beyond anything you ever thought was possible. Marcus Aurelius said in his Meditations “Not to assume it’s impossible because you find it hard, but to recognize that if it’s humanly possible, you can do it too.”  That starts with getting up and doing it again.

So don’t think you just need to do it. That implies a single effort. Think to yourself to just do it, then get up, and just do it again. And then again. And then again.
